Introduction to NFC in Fast2Task
Near Field Communication (NFC) technology enables wireless data transfer between two devices. Fast2Task utilizes this technology for enhanced productivity and task management.
Supported Browsers
Desktop Browsers
- Google Chrome: Full support from version 78.
- Mozilla Firefox: Limited support. Requires enabling NFC in ‘about:config’.
- Safari: No support for NFC features.
Mobile Browsers
- Google Chrome (Android): Full support from version 81.
- Safari (iOS): Support from iOS 13 with limitations.
Supported Devices
- Android Devices: Full support on devices with NFC hardware running Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) or higher.
- iOS Devices: Limited support on iPhone 7 and newer models running iOS 13 or higher.
- Other Platforms: Currently not supported.
How to Use NFC Features
- Scanning NFC Tags: Open Fast2Task, navigate to the NFC section, and hold your device close to the NFC tag.
- Writing to NFC Tags: In the NFC section, enter the data you wish to encode, then hold your device close to the writable NFC tag.
Troubleshooting
- NFC not working on Chrome Android: Ensure you are using Chrome version 81 or higher. Check that NFC is enabled in your phone’s settings.
- Cannot write to NFC tag on iOS: Ensure your iPhone is model 7 or newer and running iOS 13 or higher. Remember that iOS has limited NFC capabilities.
- NFC feature not available in Fast2Task on Firefox: NFC support in Firefox is experimental. Try using Chrome or Safari.
