Quotes

A quote is formal pricing you send a customer before they commit. In Fast2Task it’s the front door of the selling flow: once accepted, one click turns it into a sales order with everything carried across.

Creating a quote

Create a new quote, pick the client (or use Create Client to add one on the spot), and add lines using the standard line editor; see Working with Document Lines.

The header records:

  • Quote number: assigned automatically
  • Expiry date: how long the pricing stands
  • Customer purchase order number and reference fields
  • Currency, tax type, tax inclusive setting and sales rep
  • Billing and shipping addresses: from the client’s saved locations

Draft, finalize and send

Quotes start as drafts. When the pricing is ready, Finalize the quote, then send it by email or with your device’s share option, or print the PDF. If negotiations reopen, Revert to Draft and adjust.

Winning the work

When the customer accepts, click Create Sales Order. The quote’s lines become a sales order linked back to the quote, and the supply process continues in Understanding Sales Orders. Each quote converts to one sales order; once converted, the button gives way to the link.

Quoting something similar to last time? Duplicate Quote copies an existing quote as a fresh draft.
